I was born in ST. Johns Newfoundland on 20 June 1961. Growing up I was always interested in birds and was able to see a Snowy Owl land on our chimmey one year, a long ways south of its normal range. After watching a commerical on T.V. about the Army I joined up and two week laters was in boot camp, what an eye opener. Well 20 years later and 3 tours of duty I retired from that and setup camp in Kingston Ontario. During the winter months I meet many birders from places abroad and take them over to Amherst Island for some excellent hawk and owl birding. My gear is a Nikon D50 w/80-400vr lense.
