Although life has led me in many directions, I'm proud to say I was born in Maine. Spending every summer as a child on Cushing Island, a very small island in Casco Bay, I learned to observe, love, and respect the animals and plants that surrounded me. My family moved to Santa Barbara, California, when I was 12 years old. After high school, I went to college in Denver, Colorado, and spent my junior year in Madrid, Spain. The dream of returning to Maine sustained me for the 28 years that life found me in Massachusetts. In the Fall of 2001, we were led to a beautiful piece of property in along the Sheepscot River in Maine. I designed our home so that it takes advantage of the beauty and peacefulness of the river and woods. Once again, shortly after building our home, life brought me back to Massachusetts to help raise 2 girls who lost their Mother. Now that the girls are both away at College, I find myself able to be back home in Maine more often.
Wildlife Photography is my passion! It enables me to be a part of the magic that surrounds us each day. In the future I look forward to traveling with camera-in-hand, patiently waiting for nature to reveal herself.
