This bluebird youngster has been off the nest for a couple of weeks now. He really likes a mealworm snack every once and a while.

It was a late summer evening and this bluebird had just finished a bath. The late sun had given everything a golden look. I increased the grain in the picture to give a little more of a rough look and to emphasize how wet this one was.

Bluebird bringing home the bacon. This photo was taken in my backyard as the male was taking lunch to his kids. It was interesting to watch the parents remove the poop from the nest in order to keep it clean.

I had the problem of birds flying into my windows in my previous home, but that's not my problem this time around. Just a few weeks ago we got a new neighbor, a western bluebird. He is a gorgeous bird of very bright color and I love the fact that he has decided to call this home. Problem is he keeps...

Bluebirds returned to my backyard on March 16th. This female perched on a fence post quite close to me allowing me to get some nice pictures.

Today we have five eggs. She's been laying one a day. And I would say, she will probably stop with the five - don't you think - I'm not sure she could fit anymore in the nest.
