Keep your eyes on the skies
Regardless of how unbearably hot it is in Texas, the fall migration must be underway. Driving home from work through the Addicks reservoir on Monday I saw what I assumed were two black vultures circling about 100 feet up. I noticed one’s wings lay a little too level to be a vulture and when I drew even I could see it was a swallow tail kite. I don’t normally see them here in summer, so they must be passing through.
