Eagles At The Nest ~ It Begins Anew
And so it begins anew...
This nest was completely destroyed in December 2008 during the historic ice storm we suffered up here in NE and this pair spent all last year rebuilding it, but did not lay eggs. We had a really bad wind storm last week with major damage everywhere (trees ripped out by the roots kind of damage) and I was afraid to go check and see if this nest survived as it's so exposed. Fortunately it did...unfortunately another 5 miles away did not. This pair should keep me busy in the afternoons till July or so :)
