Lifer: Black-throated Gray Warbler
My wife and I found this bird while birding around San Marcos, Texas this last weekend. We were very surprised to find it and at first had no idea what it was.
Once reported on eBird, I was contacted by a local eBird reviewer several times about field marks, habitat, what other birds were in the area, behavior etc. On the strength of that, he and several other birders went to attempt to re-locate the bird on Sunday. They were successful - it was right in the same area we originally saw it.

Very unusual sighting for Texas. We are tickled to death to have had the chance to see it. A good start to our birding year.
