Our Photo of the Week winner for July and August is Troy Lim, who captured this memorable image of a Bald Eagle preparing to land in a tree. Our judge Robert Strickland, who photographed the Red-shouldered Hawk we published on our October issue cover, noted that the photo "has perfect depth of field, allowing it to be crisp and in focus." Congratulations, Troy!
He wins a one-year subscription to Birder's World and gear from Carl Zeiss Sports Optics, the generous sponsor of our Photo of the Week Contest. Plus, he'll compete for the grand prize: a Zeiss Victory 8x42 T* FL binocular. Next May, we'll ask you, our loyal BirdersWorld.com visitors, to vote for one of six bimonthly winners: Troy's eagle photo, Nick Richter's Lesser Prairie-Chicken (our May-June Photo of the Week winner), and four future bimonthly winners. The top vote getter will be our grand prize winner!
Here's how you can enter our Photo of the Week Contest Sponsored by Zeiss.
