The world's largest Heron, Ardea goliath taken at Lake Panic from the bird hide near Skukuza rest camp, Kruger National Park, South Africa. I used a Canon T2i body with Canon 600mm f4L IS USM Prime lens. Took a little patience to get this shot as the bird was standing erect for a long period and did not fit in the viewfinder. It finally started preening and after another long wait just stood with the neck like this just long enough to get the shot.
