The Rufous-tailed Jacamar (Galbula ruficauda) only hunts insects in flight. It uses great skill and speed to catch prey. After it captures the insect, it returns to its starting point and beats it repeatedly against the perch, removing wings and breaking the outer shell, which will facilitate the intake. In Brazil it is known as Ariramba-de-Cauda-Ruiva.
