    I'm fortunate that here in northern Utah at times Barn Owls fly during the day. This was taken a few days ago as the sun came up and the owl flew over a marshy area. Nikon D200, f6.3, 1/640, ISO 400, 200-400mm VR with 1.4x TC at 400mm, natural light, not baited or set up.

    In 2009, I walked into a barn on a friend's farm and flushed this Barn Owl. The owl flew to the top of a ladder affixed to a silo and let me take lots of pictures, not paying me much attention. Photographed in Sumter County, Georgia.
