I photographed this Drake Hooded Merganser during a recent trip to Kellogg Bird Sanctuary located in Michigan. I was photographing this guy swimming around a small pond feeding with other waterfowl when all of a sudden he decided to do a wing flap for me. The only one that he did while I was there photographing him. The green in the water is a reflection of some of the foliage surround the pond.
