This is another Wood Duck photographed at North Chagrin Reservation last fall. The females of this species don't always get the attention the more colorful males do, but they are equally as beautiful in my book. This particular hen had just drifted into some golden-colored water provided by the surrounding fall foliage from the trees. I took the photo with a 7D, manual, 1/200 sec. at f/9, ISO 200, 500mm f/4, with a fill flash.
