This Painted Bunting (apparently female) was found yesterday (11-25-12) by Eric Miller in the same park (Alley Pond, Queens, NYC) where he found a Virginia Warbler three weeks ago. I was able to take a few shots of the bird using a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 200-400mm f/4 plus a TC1.4X (for a focal length of 550mm).
