Ruby-cheeked Sunbird inhabits Himalayan foothill forests of northeastern India, including some other tropical forests of southeastern Asian countries like Bhutan, Nepal, or Bangladesh. However, they are not very often seen.....here this male is picking some insect larvae from a grass leaf nest. Shot on the outskirts of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Darjeeling, India on August 12th.
