This hybrid hummer was photographed at Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona, in February 2009. This particular hybrid has only been reported once in the last 100 or so years. This particular bird lives at the arboretum year-round and can be seen regularly at the feeders there. I photographed it with a Nikon D2X, Nikkor 300mm f/4 AF-S, 1.4x teleconverter, and SB-800 flash.
