    A pair of Brown Thrashers have once again been foraging on our back patio. They seem to be keen on cracked corn which the other birds discard from the mix currently in the feeder.

    This is the third bird I saw sunbathing the same day. We had been under a heat advisory for a few days and it was very hot. He ran up from the bushes in the back of the yard very close to the house to a patch of sun. I think he enjoyed it. He stayed for quite a while.
