I see Brown Thrashers in my yard, mostly in spring. This Brown Thasher decided to stick around awhile. I haven't seen two of them together, but I'm watching everyday.

About two years ago these beautiful guys showed up in my backyard and have been coming back every year since. I love their yellow and their brown shades.

Of late this species is not seen as much as previous decades. One October afternoon this individual appeared in the sweet light of approaching dusk.

A pair of Brown Thrashers have once again been foraging on our back patio. They seem to be keen on cracked corn which the other birds discard from the mix currently in the feeder.

I have Brown Thrashers coming into the backyard to drink. When they get just right in the birdbath I am able to get a capture of them and their reflection.

This is the third bird I saw sunbathing the same day. We had been under a heat advisory for a few days and it was very hot. He ran up from the bushes in the back of the yard very close to the house to a patch of sun. I think he enjoyed it. He stayed for quite a while.
