This Turkey Vulture not only put on a good show but demonstrated how they earned their negative reputation. Upwards of 25 Turkey and Black Vultures made the trees in my backyard home for three days. Research taught me that this extended wing behavior is textbook and intended to catch sunlight. This behavior reminded me of so many portrayals in various movies and tv shows. Actually I find this display beautiful.
