This is a Great Blue Heron with a speared fish. I was in the Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands at Viera near the entrance when I saw this heron flying toward the fill pipe in the corner of cell one. I drove right over and was surprised with a photo of the heron going after a fish and succeeding. The discharge from the pipe caused the fish to move to the flowing water to feed, thus food for the heron.
