I recently stumbled upon four Wilson's Snipes while kayaking back to an area of Summit Lake where I had seen a few Greater Yellowlegs weeks earlier. For this shot I was using a Canon 7D w/ 400mm F5.6 lens. Shutter speed was 1/320 sec at F11 using ISO 200. I was able to get about 50 feet from these shy birds.
super shot. Love how they are all looking at you, snipes are difficult to photograph.
