Friday photos: Black-and-white Warblers

  • Comments 1

The handsome Black-and-white Warbler is patterned like a little zebra! You can find it creeping around tree trunks throughout central and eastern North America. We found the photos below in our online galleries. Each was taken by one of our handsome readers.

Last week’s Friday photos: Roseate Spoonbill

Alert: Brad Ouellette snapped this photo of a warbler standing at attention on the side of a tree in Point Pelee National Park in Ontario.

Thirsty bird: Wahoo Woman photographed this warbler near a pond on Ahhochee Hill in Hernando County, Florida. She writes that it came back many times to drink.

Warbling: The black throat of this singing warbler, photographed at Parks Pond in Clifton, Maine, by JackZ, tells you that the bird is male. Females have white throats.

Quick footed: Dangles found this Black-and-white, another male, at Lake Draper near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Nuthatch warbler: This bird posed for Daniel Cadieux as if it were a nuthatch on a tree trunk.
