Whooping Crane

I went down to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge on February 20, 2010, to photograph the Whooping Cranes and other shorebirds. I took this shot as the oldest pair there (ages 30 and 31) flew in to land. Taken with my Canon Rebel XS and Tamron 200-400mm lens at 1/2000, f7.1, ISO 400.
