This White-winged Crossbill showed up at my front feeders in February 2009. This would be a lifer for me!!!! They have no fear of humans which is very apparent. These feeders are at the bottom of our stairs and right beside our driveway. Numerous times I would walk outside or start my van and she wouldn't move which provided me with an excellent opportunity to get a few pictures. I took these pictures from about three feet away from the bird. I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30PP camera (12x optical zoom)
