I saw about 30 species of birds on Thanksgiving day.  Here is a post about my day with a number of pictures.

I haven't updated my blog info.  I have been kind of busy, and so have not done a really good job of putting a lot of effort into my blog entries, but I do have some decent pictures.  I am trying to finish going through my pictures from the rio grand valley and have one more days worth that need to be processed, but I do have the first 3 days pictures posted.

Wow! I can't believe the range of species you have in your backyard! How many feeders do you have? I saw the suet feeder, but are you also using Black-Oil Sunflower seed? Lovely pictures!

Hi Dave,

Love the pics on your blog from the bird blind on High Island. Very cool.  I have always heard that just sitting still and letting the birds come to you is a good way to get pics. I am too much of a hiker and can't sit still - but it looks like you were very successful. You have lots of warblers in your area. I was out in the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mts. earlier this summer and hoped to get some warbler pics, but wasn't very successful - I heard them, but they hid very well. The only good photo I got was a Hooded Warbler. The others were poor images - dark and blurry.  I will spend some time going back to read some of your older posts.  Keep up the good work

I just started blogging about birding this summer - kind of ramblings of an amateur birder. This week I am featuring all the different sparrows I photographed within the past year.

Hey Jon, thanks for the nice response.  Nate just posted about my blog on the ABABlog, so I guess I am doing OK with my pictures.Getting ready to ramp up with the warblers again in the next few weeks and am actually driving to San Antonio to see some Golden-cheeked Warblers this weekend.  Watch for posts on that.

Nice blog by the way.  Good to have you on the forum.
